Review of Sidekick Salesman

new product, Sidekick Salesman.

Now, those of you who know me know that I'm not the type to
fall for all the "hype."  But, when this many people are talking
about something, I just have to check it out.  So, I downloaded
it, and here's my *honest* review...

I tried to keep it short but informative...

  The Web Site
  ------------


  So, I visit the web site, and the first thing I notice is that
  the sales letter is certainly *not* your run-of-the mill sales
  letter.

  In fact, even if you don't have a need for a profit-increasing
  tool right now, I'd still recommend you check out the site,
  just to see the sales letter.  If you have a sense of humor,
  you'll love it.

  Also, Rich is one of the few people nowadays who offers a demo
  of his product for people to download.  You can actually see
  a real "Sidekick Salesman" in action, so you can see exactly
  what it does.

  I like that.

  The Product Itself
  ------------------

  Very clean!  No bells or whistles.  In fact, there's only
  three steps you need to go through which are all ridiculously
  easy.  I'm no computer geek really, but I didn't even have
  to read the instruction manual (even though he "requires"
  that you do...come on, we don't *all* follow every single
  instruction! ;)

  Anyway, it took me about 5 minutes to create a ListFire.com
  sidekick salesman.  And I'm not even a programmer. :)  I'd 
  let you download what I made, but I'm going to keep working 
  on it for a bit.  When you see this thing, you're going to
  be floored.

  So what does it *do*?
  ---------------------

  I'd explain it here, but there's really no reason for me to.
  Rich did an honestly *perfect* job with his web site,
  including a slew of awesome screenshots, and a demo.  Just
  check out the site, and you'll understand it all:

  So, what's wrong with it, why only 4/5 stars?
  ---------------------------------------------

  I only gave this product 4 out of 5 stars for a few reasons,
  and here they are, plain and simple.

    1.  You no longer (Version 2) need to either know HTML yourself, or know someone
        who does, in order to use this product.  If you don't
        know HTML, or know anyone who does, then I don't know
        how you have a web site, but at any rate, it's a 
        limitation. Fixed in Version 2.

    2.  This could actually be a pro to many people, but the
        sidekick "salesmen" that this program creates can
        literally do *anything*.  Anything you can do with 
        html you can do here.  Rich provides some examples, 
        though, so f you are creatively challenged, you can 
        use them, but you have to have at least 1% of what 
        most people would consider "creativity" to use this. 

    3.  There are some color issues with the product.  A 
        certain part of the sidekick salesman color is an
        ugly "gray" that I couldn't change.

        ****UPDATE: I emailed Rich about this, and he's already
                    fixed this one.  I am impressed!  I didn't
                    even get to mail this review out yet, and
                    it's already obsolete!

  Conclusion
  ----------

  Sidekick Salesman is a phenomenal product.  I hate hype, but 
  the  truth of the matter is, there is no hype about this 
  product.  I read things saying that Sidekick Salesman was the 
  "most innovative sales product of 2004," blah, blah, blah, and 
  it all sounded like hype to me. 

  Just do yourself a favor and check it out.
 
  If you disagree, that's fine.  But I know I'm going to be
  using this myself, and recommending it to everyone I see.  
  Despite it's few little downsides, this product is definitely 
  worth a look.

  And the sales letter is funny too.
